Bye Felicia, My Past Does Not Determine My Future!

As believers in the Body of Christ, we spend an inordinate (too much) time nursing and rehearsing the past.
With all of its twists, turns, failures and hurts–thinking on these things will keep us stuck in the past… Weighed down by coulda, woulda, shoulda. Aint nothing we can do about how we messed up yesterday and especially as it relates to sin.
You need only repent (turn all the way from sin), ask Jesus for forgiveness and the stamina to not yield to that temptation again. It should be our aim to not look back so that we don’t go back.
And please know that the failures of the past can be great lesson plans to not repeat those same mistakes again.
Poor decision-making regarding relationship choices, business opportunities, money matters, parenting, career choices, morals of everyday life, should become RED FLAGS; but at the same time, it can be a stimulus for wisdom and discernment as you seek to go forward in the things of Christ.
The Bible reminds us that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord. In other words, the bad that you did was not good, but if you let Him, Christ Jesus can turn the bad around for your good. If nothing else, your testimony can keep somebody else from repeating the same mistakes. Tell them….If you wanna know what a survivor feels like, shake my hand.
And if anybody should try to remind you of your past, simply say to them, Bye, Felicia, my past does not determine my future.
Bye, Felicia is a popular term which originated from the movie Friday in which a girl name Felicia (Angela Means) was about to ask Craig Jones (Ice Cube), in his opinion, a stupid question, but Ice Cube dismisses her with no regard by saying “Bye Felicia.
So, when Felicia (your haters) so-to-speak, attempt to throw shade at you, you need simply wave them off, and say to them, bye Felicia, you might try to block me, but you can’t stop me because I’m washed in blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
And when Felicia, the enemy of your own soul, attempts to remind you of what you did in the past– rebuke that devil and say, Bye, Felicia, I aint trying to nurse or rehearse past hurts, drama, that old sinful lifestyle, poor decision-making, ungodly relationships, failed marriages, home foreclosures, job losses, car repossession, business failings, etc., etc.
I’m forgetting those things which are behind to press forward to the high prize in Christ Jesus.
Because the truth is, as new creatures in Christ Jesus, we’ve come a long way from where we started from. And guess what: “the best is yet to come.”
What are you believing God for as you seek to press forward in His name?
Find the promise regarding your situation and decree and declare it over your life? If you wanna nurse and rehease anything; nurse and rehearse God’s promises over your life.
Because surely, the Word is true when it says… God knows the plans that He thinks towards you. You simply need to believe it, receive it and activate His promises as they relate to the God ordained destiny and purpose for your life.
Bye, Felicia, Hello, Jesus!

Father God, in heaven, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we thank You for Your darling Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Who died on the Cross for our sins. Yahweh God, we thank You that the promises in Your Word are yes and amen.
Lord, we thank You for giving us a second, third, and fourth chance, when we mess up. We thank You for grace and mercy over our lives and that you wish that we may come to repentance to live out the blessed life in You in Jesus name we pray, Amen!

KNOW GOD, KNOW PEACE, NO GOD, NO PEACE!!!

Christ Jesus, before being lifted up to heaven, gave us one of His last and best gifts when He gave us His peace. Nothing and nobody can give us the kind of peace that Jesus can.
Let’s first give a definition of peace. A biblical definition in the Strong’s Concordance in the Greek vernacular is #1515 eirḗnē (from eirō, and means “to join, tie together into a whole”) – properly, wholeness, i.e. when all essential parts are joined together; peace (God’s gift of wholeness). Basically it means…one, peace, quietness, rest.
The Apostle Paul encourages us to PRAY about our situation and to thank God anyhow, while we are in the situation and to be at peace as we give God the situation. If we sincerely turn our situations over to God and trust Him to work it out, then our hearts and minds will rest in the peace, quietness, and rest of Christ Jesus.
If we trust God with our situations, our hearts will not fear. We will not fear man, we will not fear the world, and we will not fear death. The peace of God will keep our hearts from pursuing worldly ambitions and the pride of life and which only leads to certain confusion and dissatisfaction. Of a truth, our satisfaction can only be filled as we yield our life, dreams, and ambitions to Christ Jesus.
The peace of God will keep our hearts from strife and contention and from the drama of life. Sometimes, it’s just best to walk away in order to keep the peace.
To experience real peace, God must take control of our minds, our hearts and our spirits. We don’t need to go to bed or get up the next morning worrying about the situation. We are to SURRENDER all to Jesus knowing that He is well able to fix our situations and circumstances. Of a truth, He may not come when we want Him, but He’s always on time.
To experience real peace, we must stand on God’s promises and commandments in His Word for our various situations. If our money is acting funny and our change is acting strange, His Word says that He shall supply all of our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. If we have money, but we love money more than God, we must obey His Word and not worship money which is idolatry. If we are in trouble, His Word says that He is our very present help in the time of trouble. If we are facing death or afraid to die, we know that if our names are written in the Lambs Book of Life, we will be with Christ in the Great Resurrection.
If you are experiencing anxiety due to the guilt and consciousness of sin in your life, you can be reassured that as you repent (turn away from sin), and as you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, you can be forgiven and experience the peace of God that passes all understanding.
Whatever our distress on the stormy sea called LIFE, we can find peace that Jesus is at the helm of the ship and is driving the rudder (steering wheel) on the storm tossed sea. Halleluia!
Jesus can and will speak to any storm in our lives with the beautiful and commanding words: PEACE BE STILL!
TURN ALL OF YOUR TROUBLES OVER TO CHRIST JESUS AND EXPERIENCE REAL PEACE!

Father God, in heaven, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we thank You for Your darling Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Who died on the Cross for our sins. God we thank You that Jesus is well able to handle all of our burdens, our anxieties and our fears. And because of that, we can experience true peace…that peace which is seemingly unimaginable, unthinkable, and impossible. But we know that all things are possible with You, Papa God. We thank You for giving us Your peace in Jesus blessed name. Amen.

JOHN THE BAPTIST, A FORERUNNER FOR CHRIST JESUS

John the Baptist was the cousin to and the forerunner for Jesus Christ. John as a forerunner was very humble in his assignment. When he perceived that men thought that he was Jesus, he answered and stated that he was not even worthy to untie the sandals of Jesus. And he further stated that he came to baptize by water but Jesus would come baptizing by Holy Ghost and fire.
Although his characteristics included humility, John the Baptist also exuded boldness in His preaching style. When the people came to him to be baptized, he actually called them a brood of vipers (den of snakes).
His preaching style was both stern and anointed and so anointed that it caused many to come, to repent of their sins, and to be baptized.
As he preached to many, John would admonish them to produce fruit worthy of and consistent with repentence and righteous living. And because he could discern the religious spirits that many of the Jews were bound by, he told them up front that they should not even think that because they were born under Abraham’s lineage that they would automatically be saved. Jesus would have to check this same religious mindset in John, chapter 5, to let them know that just because they searched the scriptures over and over, this did not automatically provide salvation.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that it is not by works lest any man show boast but through the amazing grace of Jesus Christ.
Be that as it may when John the Baptist warned those that came to listen to him that Jesus would bringing the axe to the root of the trees of those not bringing forth good fruit;
The Jews were the first to ask: What shall we do then?
John answered: Those of you with two coats, give one away to those in need. If you have food, feed somebody who is hungry.
The power and the conviction of the message of John the Baptist caused the publicans (tax collectors) to ask the same question: what shall we do?
John responded: Stop hustling and pimping folks…stop with the extortion.
The soldiers who came to listen to John and to be baptized asked the same question: what must we do?
John answered: Stop mistreating folks and stop falsely accusing folk to the higher authorities in order to move up in rank. Stop putting your mouth on the innocent.
Now, please know that any of these three groups of people mentioned above can represent anyone of us reading this blog from the church leaders to church members and to the unsaved.
Today, we find many in the Body of Christ and those unsaved who are not always willing to share with those less fortunate. Many come fleecing, pimping, and hustling the less fortunate. As well, many come bringing false accusation of others, sometimes for no apparent reason, but sometimes to get ahead in life or because of their own insecurities and jealousies.
John the Baptist as a forerunner and as a voice of one crying in the wilderness is admonishing all to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. And Jesus also is asking us to get our houses in order and to repent for the Kingdom of heaven is near.
Luke 3: 7-14
7 Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 9 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
10 So the people asked him, saying, “What shall we do then?”11 He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”
12 Then tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?”13 And he said to them, “Collect no more than what is appointed for you.”
14 Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, “And what shall we do?” So he said to them, “Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages.”
John 5:39-40 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Matthew 4:17 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
PRAYER!
Father God, in heaven, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we thank You for Your darling Son, Jesus that died on the Cross for our sins. Truly, God, we want to flee the wrath to come and we wish to quickly repent (to turn all the way around for the good) so that we may have a right to the tree of Life in Jesus blessed name, Amen.

FINISH STRONG

- I had a dream this morning that there were a lot of us running a race. There was a first group that were further along than us.
Many of us in the second group fell behind due to unforseen circumstances such as mishaps, falls, distractions, hindrances, etc.
However, many of us got our second wind and began to run hard and fast to catch up to the first crowd to win the race, never looking back. And I woke up. As I pondered dream, the scripture below, came to mind…
1 Corinthians 9:24-27.
In a race everyone runs, but only one person gets first prize. So run your race to win. To win the contest you must deny yourselves many things that would keep you from doing your best.
An athlete goes to all this trouble just to win a blue ribbon or a silver cup, but we do it for a heavenly reward that never disappears. So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. I fight to win. I’m not just shadow-boxing or playing around.
Like an athlete I punish my body, treating it roughly, training it to do what it should, not what it wants to. Otherwise I fear that after enlisting others for the race, I myself might be declared unfit and ordered to stand aside. (1 Corinthians 9:24-27 TLB)

COVENANT PARTNERSHIP WITH CHRIST JESUS

We as believers, a chosen remnant in Christ Jesus, have a covenant bond and partnership with Him, and are seated together with Him in heavenly places.
There are those who are still dead in their trespasses and sins. But not us! As born again believers, we have been resurrected (raised up) in the spiritual realm far above all principalities and powers, through the glorious power of Christ Jesus.
What a wonderful joy to know that we are seated with Christ Jesus as He is seated at the right hand of Father God. We must be reminded of the fact, however, that it is not because we have been so good. The Bible reminds us…”not by works lest any man or woman should boast.” Our seating and covenant partnership is due to the undeserved favor and the amazing grace of God when He called us unto Himself.
Some answered the call to come unto His rest, some didn’t, and perhaps and hopefully some not as yet!!! Father God is omniscient (all knowing). He knows who will and who won’t. I pray that the latter choice will not be for any of us reading this blog! Allow this to sink in (Selah)!
We, who were once caught up in trespasses and sins and following all of the evil works of the prince of the power of the air (the devi), have now put away the carnality of our flesh to be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Think about it! We are seated with Christ Jesus at the banquet table to sit at His feet and be blessed while we are still down here on earth. We have access to the heavenly portals because of our right standing in Christ Jesus through His death on the Cross. We can come boldly to the throne of grace to find mercy to help us in the time of need.
We who are seated with Him are now wearing the new man in Christ Jesus to do His bidding. For the Bible says we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works to the glory of the Lord now and in ages to come.
What is His bidding? Simply put…it is whatever Jesus requires of us to fulfill the destiny for which we were created including to share the glorious gospel of Christ Jesus to a lost and dying world.
I hope and pray that your 2018 will be filled with drawing even more closer to Christ Jesus and to redeem any time lost due to distractions, trials and tribulations of 2017. May you have a Happy New Year!
And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6) (NKJV)
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience (Ephesian 2:1-3)

PRAYER!
Father God, in heaven, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we thank You for Your unmerited favor that You have bestowed upon every born again believer. We thank You that we have access to Your heavenly portals through the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, shed on the Cross of Calvary. I thank You that this access allows us to be seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus in the spiritual realm while still living down here on earth. What a joy and a privilege to know that we don’t have to wait until we get to heaven to experience heavenly joy, peace, covenant partnership, and access and with the gifts bestowed because of this privilege. We thank You that we can experience it right now in this earthly realm, in Christ Jesus name we pray, Amen!

THE FATHER’S LOVE FOR HIS CHILDREN

As I write this blog, it is Christmas Day, a day in which many of us celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the blessed Messiah.
What a wonderful opportunity to think on God’s goodness as He overshadowed the virgin Mary to allow her to bear a Son and to name Him Jesus.
The name Jesus is a transliteration of the Hebrew name Joshua, which is why many Jews who have become Christians call Him Yeshua. Basically, Joshua means ‘Jehovah is salvation. Jesus is our Salvation.
What struck me as I pondered on this wonderful miracle is a passage of scripture found in 1 John 3(b) and which reads in the New Living Translation….3 See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!
Many on this Christmas Day are surrounded by the love of family and friends, the sharing and receiving of gifts, and are participating in the fellowship of traditional favorites such as Turkey and Dressing, cakes and pies and other fixings’ and who are also sharing in the singing of Christmas Carols and the listening of other Christmas songs in this season.
However, there may be those who are missing loved ones who have passed on from this earthly life. They may not be surrounded by family or friends or of the partaking of sitting down to lunch or dinner, nor the fellowship of reminiscing on golden years of old and fun memories.
Some may be feeling as if their lives don’t matter, they may be feeling a sense of abandonment, suffering due to sickness or financial problems, or experiencing bouts of loneliness. Know this…….being alone does not mean being lonely. For you see, you can be surrounded by hundreds of people and yet still feel isolated. You can have all the money in the world but still be depressed.
It’s only the love of the Father that can feel your longing heart. You are His child and He truly cares for you. God loves you so much that He allowed a Son to be born, wherewith the government would be on His shoulders.
Not only that, but this Son would grow up to one day, give His life for all mankind including those who would love Him and those who would hate Him. This Son’s name is Jesus. He came that all might be free on this earth and to spend eternity with Him in heaven wherein there will be no more loneliness, no more sickness, no more death, no more hurts and no more heartbreaks.
So, if you are reading this post, and you are feeling down, like nobody cares…Know that Jesus cares for You! We must remember the reason for this season…..its okay to celebrate His birth surrounded by loved ones, its okay to give and receive gifts, but at the end of the day, JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. He is the reason that we celebrate His birth at Christmas time.
My prayer for you this day is that You will realize just how special you are to God as a son and daughter of the Most High King. He loves You with an everlasting love and He will never leave you nor forsake you. He’s just that kind of friend.
Merry Christmas to you and know that you are surrounded by God’s angels to keep watch over your soul.
Luke 1:30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end,
Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
PRAYER!
Father God, in heaven, we thank You for every blessing that you have bestowed upon us. We thank You for allowing a Son to be born who would one day, pay the ultimate penalty for our sins by dying on the Cross at Calvary. But that’s not the end of the story for in three days Jesus, the Blessed Messiah arose with all power in His hands and is sitting at Your right side in Heaven. And one day, we will be sitting there as well at Your feet to be blessed and to join the angels in singing Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, the whole earth is full of His glory in Jesus name, Amen!

THE HELPLESS, THE HOPELESS, AND THE HOMELESS!

Today marks the coldest day so far in our fair city as we embark upon the winter season. Many will be pulling out their heavier jackets, coats, gloves, and hats as the days grow colder. As well, many will be pulling out those heavier bedding comforters, quilts, and electric blankets. Many will have their cars and trucks winterized in preparation for the cold season ahead. Many who have and love fireplaces in their homes will have their chimneys checked and will store fire logs in anticipation of the colder winter months.
Hopefully, none of us take these conveniences for granted knowing that all that we have belong to God. He simply allows us to be good stewards over what we have in our possession.
And may we be mindful of the fact that many however, cannot afford to have their cars winterized, but will be actually sleeping in their cars to try and stay warm due to unforeseen circumstances. Many do not have the luxury of fireplaces, but will be exposed to outer elements and might have to warm themselves in the cold of winter over fires made in steel barrels.
Those on fixed incomes such as the elderly and disabled might find themselves having to choose between paying higher electric bills, going without monthly medication, or much needed food.
Because children are still growing, it may be difficult for single parents to afford new clothing or even coats, hats, and mittens, much less the uniforms required in many community schools that they attend.
As we sit in our warm homes, let us make a concerted effort to seek out ways to help those less fortunate. James 2:14:16 reminds us in this passage of scripture… What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?
In other words, sure, we can pray for those less fortunate, but as an example, if we have it in our power to dig deeper in our pockets to pay for the medicines, groceries, or other miscellaneous items of those ahead of us in the grocery store lines, Papa God would be much pleased with us.
I would venture to say that many of us have been guilty of being impatient or indignant of those who have held up grocery store lines and who are desperately trying to find monies at the bottom of their purses or wallets, or truth be told, have had to leave much needed items behind; when actually in retrospect, we have had it in our power to give that $5, $10, or $20 to help that struggling individual.
In other instances, many of us have been reluctant or too busy to check on the elderly, disabled, or single parents, but James 1:27 declares Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Sure, we have family members that need our help, and of course, they should be our first priority, but, if when we find an opportunity to be of help to those outside of our sphere of influence, we should be diligent to do so.
May we ponder this scripture found in Luke 14
12 Then He also said to him who invited Him, “When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. 13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. 14 And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”
PRAYER!
Father God, in heaven, we thank You for every blessing that you have bestowed upon us. We thank You for warm homes, adequate clothing, for health and wholeness and for many opportunities to make a living. But Papa God, may we be ever mindful of those who are less fortunate, to make a concerted effort, and to find creative ways to help at every given opportunity in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen and Amen!

HAS YOUR PILOT LIGHT GONE OUT?

One source of research says that a pilot light is a small gas flame usually natural gas which serves as an ignition source for a more powerful gas burner. Common applications include household water heaters, stoves, central heating systems, and fireplaces.
From a spiritual vantage point, our pilot light serves as an ignition for a more powerful source in the person of Holy Spirit. So, the question arises: Are you spiritually charged to ignite the heart of Jesus at anytime and anywhere?
Can we take this analogy somewhat further? Should we have to wait to get to church to get pumped up or to be charged? Hopefully, not– for our spiritual ignition (pilot light) should be so charged that when we walk through the door of the church, our jobs, or to the grocery store, people should see something different about us and to feel something different in us…we should “stand out” as born again believers. What people may or not sense is God’s anointing on our lives because of our powerful pilot lights! (Matthew 5:16)
I venture to say that the powerful anointing on our lives that people may sense or discern is due to constant praise on our lips and thanksgiving in our hearts to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
However, if our pilot light has gone out or is just above a flicker…there are a few things that we should consider.
- Have the cares of this life, choked or dimmed our flame? (Mark 4:18-19)
- Are our hearts and minds open to Yahweh God through prayer? (Matthew 6:9)
- Are we reading the Word of God on a daily basis? Are we applying that Word for our lives?
- Are we ensuring that we keep our hands clean and our hearts pure? (Psalm 24:3-4)
- Are we ensuring that we abstain from all ungodliness and unholiness? (Psalm 1)
- Are we repenting to God on a daily basis? (Romans 3:23)
- Are we engaging in praise, worship and adoration to our Triune Father (Eph 5:19-20)
- Are we obedient to Yahweh God and His commands? (James 1:22-25)
If we are not applying any of the last seven bulleted points, it may be time for us to visit or to revisit doing the first works over. —(Revelation 2:5)
If we are, however, applying the last seven bulleted questions, then we can ensure that the (pilot light) anointing on our lives will be powerful enough to ignite the powers of Heaven here on Earth to do God’s bidding and to advance the Kingdom of God.
As children of the Most High King, we have work to do while it is yet day. There are many lost souls at stake–yes, even in the church house, in our own families, on our jobs, and in our neighborhoods.
Question–If not you—then who?
Prayer: Papa God, we worship You, We Praise You, and We love You for all that You have done, are doing, and will yet, do in our lives. We thank You for sacrificing Your Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth on the Cross, so that we can receive cleansing from our sins and so that we might be pleasing to You and as vessels fit for the Masters use. Fill our cups, Lord, Fill us afresh, Lord. We are thirsty for You! Ignite our pilot lights in Jesus name, we pray, Amen!

19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesian 5:19-20)
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does (James 1:22-25)
5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place–unless you repent. (Rev. 2:5)

Jesus Is All That–And Some!!!

Hopefully, it was inspiring and interesting to the readers as we toured the book of Hebrews with a corresponding series entitled: Jesus is Better in Every Way, to glean through its Holy pages on just how good Jesus is in the New Testament.
In our efforts, we attempted to provide in-depth but succinct expositions on several passages of scriptures to compare and contrast types and shadows (patterns) from the Old Testament and how much better it is in the life of the born again believer with King Jesus under the New Covenant.
Summarily, we began this discourse by expounding on the following:
- “Why Settle For Less Than the Best – which provided an introduction on how Jesus is better in every way and as such, on this particular topic, we ascertained that Jesus is better than the Angels (Hebrews 1:4)
- “Not Just Any Prophet (Hebrews 1:1-3) – Everything about Jesus is prophecy and prophecy fulfilled—from His death, burial, resurrection, to His ascension. Jesus is better than the Prophets.
- Yes, Even Better Than Moses (Hebrews 3:1-3) – Jesus, the Son of God, the One Who built the House and has more honor than the House is better in very way—yes even better than Moses.
- No, not that one, but King Jesus is His name (Hebrews 4:7-8) – Surely, there is a greater and a better rest to the people than that of Joshua, son of Nun. Yes, Jesus is better than Joshua.
- Jesus is our great High Priest and Intercessor (Hebrews 5:1-5) – Jesus, our High Priest, who knew no sin, once and for all paid our sin debt in one clean sweep when He shed His blood on Calvary’s Cross. Jesus is better than Aaron and other Levitical priests.
- Jesus, Even Better than Abraham (Hebrews 7:4) – Just as Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils to Melchizedek, who was a type and shadow of Jesus in the Old Testament, we as believers under the New Covenant, should honor our King of Kings and Lord of Lords with lips of Praise and Worship, with great Love to Him, as yielded vessels, and sold out lives to Him.
- Jesus, He is the Tabernacle – (Hebrews 9:11) – Jesus, when He Shed His blood on Calvary’s Cross enabled the partition, or the curtain (veil) to be torn from top to the bottom; thereby making it possible for the redeemed of the Lord to come boldly to the very Throne of God (Mercy Seat) to find grace to help in the time of need. Yes, Jesus is the better than the Tabernacle.
- No Better Sacrifice than Jesus – (Hebrews 10:11-12) – Old Testament priests no longer have to sacrifice the blood of bulls and goats over and over again to atone for their own sins or the sins of mankind at the altar. Albeit, under a new and better covenant, Jesus Christ, the sinless Lamb, sacrificed Himself by shedding His powerful and cleansing blood and is now interceding for us from Heaven’s Throne Room (the Golden Altar). Jesus is better than any sacrifice.
- Jesus Better than Mt. Sinai – (Hebrews 12:18-24) – With Jesus as our Mt. Zion (the heavenly Jerusalem) AKA, our church of the first born SON, we as born again believers, are free to worship in Spirit and in truth in the church house; as we walk this thing out in holiness and with a reverential fear of God, Most High! Yes, Jesus is better than Mt. Sinai.
